There are so many products and opinions out there and it is so overwhelming sometimes. In all honesty, I’m sure you really could get by with the bare minimum, but these are some of my most favorite, tried and true products that have made my life a whole lot easier! I’m not including everything (and no furniture. See my nursery reveal post for more of that type of stuff!), but just some of my favorites! My baby is four months old, so I will do a separate post for when he’s a little bigger and we’ve introduced the next stage of products.
Sleep/Soothe:
Exercise ball: If all else fails, this is the one “bouncer” that has without a doubt soothed my kids, and major plus that you don’t have to constantly be standing!
4moms mamaRoo: Jonas has loved it from the very beginning. When he was younger, I would have him nap in it, now I put him in it when I’m cooking or trying to get other things done. The movement options are great; his favorite is the “car ride.”
LoveToDream sleep sack: Jonas HATED being swaddled with his arms down, so this has been the best solution! Smart design and I couldn’t be happier.
Halo sleep sack: My other kids didn’t mind their arms down and we LOVED these ones!
Little Unicorn OR Aden and Anais swaddle blankets: make sure to get either deluxe cotton or bamboo…makes ALL the difference in softness! Leo (my 6 year old) still sleeps with these every night, haha.
Dock-A-Tot and if you travel, get this travel bag: Yes, it’s worth it!
Avent Freeflo pacifiers: We tried a million and these are his favorite.
Pacifier clips: Gotta keep that paci handy (and off the ground)!
HoMedics sound machine: No complaints about this one and it’s a MUST product for us!
Crane humidifier: I’m sure there are plenty of good options. This is the one we have and like.
Feed:
Boppy nursing pillow and covers: I swear by this thing! Especially at the beginning. Takes some of the stress off your already sleep deprived body!
Nursing/Carseat cover: These didn’t exist with my other two, but man I’m so happy to have them now! Sooo convenient!
Nursing bras: Amazing deal and super comfortable (comes in three pack)!
Nipple cream: Definitely needed in the first few weeks at least..
Nursing pads: Must have if you’re planning to nurse!
Comotomo bottles: We haven’t done many bottles, yet but these ones are winners and they are super cute too.
Priobiotics: good to give them, whether nursing or not! My doctor recommended these ones.
Travel:
Ergo 360 carrier: Your back will thank you later! Also my husband’s “swear by” product.
WildBird ring sling: love that you just tighten and loosen it; my favorite for shorter, inward facing carries. Also so dang cute!
Uppa Baby Vista: I have tried SO MANY strollers and this is just my favorite. Turns on a dime and super easy to fold/unfold! Had it with my other kids as well and love that the updated version has so many seating arrangement options!
Bob running stroller: My #1 favorite for running or anything on rough terrain.
Car mirror: I know nowadays people day these are distracting for parents.. I don’t know. It brings me a lot of piece of mind!
Loveverybaby play mat: Good tummy time spot for the early months and the design is great!
Bathe:
AngelCare baby bath: Doesn’t fold up, but I love it, so that doesn’t bother me!
Mae Woven terry Turkish towels: obviously I’m biased here, but they just get so dang soft after washing and more washing!
Tubby Todd shampoo and lotion: Their giant pump bottles are amazing
Frida Baby silicone brush: helps get rid of the dry skin/cradle cap more quickly!
Diapering:
Pampers swaddlers: these are my favorite newborn diapers. I just bought Pampers Pure for him now that he’s a size 2, so we’ll see!
A+D ointment: I’ve tried many brands and keep coming back to this
Diaper Genie: None of these are fun.. it just gets the job done!
Pads for changing table: saves a whole lot of laundry time
Other:
Frida Baby nose aspirator: life saver!
Door silencer: Nice for sneaking in and out to check on them!
Diaper caddy: I put these in all the rooms we spend time in, so I don’t have to go far for changing
Backpack diaper bags: I love Fawn Design, if I need my laptop and computer, I use my Atlas Supply bag, and occasionally I will use this Madewell tote as a diaper bag as well!
Soft baby clothes: obviously a million onesies (these are my favorites), Kickee pants always, Goosebump shop, Clover kids, Loved Baby, H&M, Zara… I could go on and on.
