You know that balance between what your kids want and what you want? When it comes to family activities, I tend to project my big ideas on them. In all reality, all they really want is to play. Play outside, run around, make believe… they don’t need to make fancy crafts or go constantly go to the aquarium.
Here’s the thing: I do not like being cold. Okay, maybe no one likes to be cold, but I REALLLY don’t like being cold. And we live in Utah. SO, dressing right is very important. At my kid’s school they say “There’s no such thing as bad weather, just bad clothing..” BACKCOUNTRY is our family’s go-to for outdoor and cold weather clothing and gear. I trust the quality of brands they choose to sell and their customer service is incredible. And I am SO stoked to have a discount code for you: use AMELIA15 for 15% off your first purchase!
Here’s what we chose this fall:
Josh loves this JACKET because it is so versatile and neutral. We both live for these TRAIL RUNNING SHOES… I could go on and on. I borrowed a pair from a friend on a trip and bought them for both of us immediately after. He also loves this ZION HAT (remember on IG when I thought it said “Lion” and couldn’t figure out why he bought it?!)
Again, I cannot stand being cold, so I live in cozy JACKETS during the cold months. I love this two tone PATEGONIA. Have you ever tried on a pair of BEYOND YOGA LEGGINGS? Buttery soft, I tell you. I’m also wearing my favorite, favorite TRAIL RUNNING SHOES and BEANIE (because, doing my hair during the cold months is a rare occasion).
Leo is stoked on this reversible (two for the price of one?!) ANIMAL JACKET and the boy lives in VANS (always a good selection on BACKCOUNTRY).
Sailor doesn’t steer far from “girl colors,” so this PURPLE JACKET is right up her alley. I also love that both kid’s jackets have hoods.. lifesaver sometimes. She is also wearing this cute POM-POM BEANIE.
We got Jonas babe this super soft/warm BABY BUNTING and DOWN JACKET. And I just about died over these MINI SORELS. I also got him this BABY BEAR HAT.
